Unable to set font size's, formatting etc

Whilst trying to edit a snippit in the WYSIWYG Editor I am able to edit text, ie delete text, change text etc. But I am unable to change font sizes, positions etc.
I use stylesheets on the website, but even if I select an area of text and try to set the style nothing happens. I have tried setting file permissions for the files containing the snippits to 666, 777. I have tried Snippit master in Chrome, Firefox and IE. same results every time, no formatting.

I have tried editing the snippit in the html box. This works fine, using <div class =.... you know the stuff.

I have noticed that whilst using the WYSIWYG Editor everything is always centered, although it shows on the website as left justified on the site after saving.

This might be a problem with the browser you are using. Can you make sure you use Firefox or IE?  There is a bug with Chrome that messes up the editor...
