[-] 20 minutes timeout?
« on: September 19, 2007, 08:25:57 AM »

Henri,

my client used Snippetmaster to type a text, which lasts 20 Minutes. Then he tried to save it and ... *#-.!+?
Everything is gone --> timeout.  Shocked

How can he avoid this?

Regards,
Frank

This is not a problem of SnippetMaster, but of the php session being timed out by the server.The default setting for session.gc_maxlifetime set in php.ini is usually 1440 seconds - about 24 minutes. If you can edit php.ini on the server then increasing the value should solve this. Alternatively you may be able to overide the default using .htaccess - check with your host for the correct syntax for your server.

@Jenkinhill

Thank you very much. I have now modified my php.ini to 2880.
