Henri,

Snippetmaster has been working flawlessly for us until recently.  I have made no changes to the coding but we are now receiving the error:  "Site error: the file /home/ptpinsp/public_html/troop674/snippetmaster/index.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_4.4.so to be installed by the site administrator."

Does this sound like my web host has removed the ioncube loader?  Is it easy to switch to the Zend optimizer or would you suggest I contact my host first?  Or could it be something I can fix?

Thanks,

Dave

Dave,

do you still have the autoinstaller.php in place. If so, run http://www.yourdomain.com/autoinstaller.php?loadertest

See: http://www.snippetmaster.com/requirements/loaders.php

Personally i'm seeing alot of hosting providers droping ioncube for zend.

Henri, is there a path to revert to zend. With db.in.php and snippt-db stay in place and the rest of the code be updated?

Thanks,

Olly

Yes, I would suggest talking to your web hosting provider and find out what they changed.  (They must have changed something...)

If they now offer Zend Optimizer, then you can easily switch to that version by doing this:

- Run the autoinstaller and select the ZEND version when entering your FTP information.  This will force the Zend version to be installed.  Your existing database and information will not be touched.

- Manually download the ZEND version, and then go through the manual installation process.  (Be sure to upload the files in BINARY transfer mode.)  Your existing database and information will not be touched.

Cheers!
