Topic: Unable to log in (paid version) - it used to work fine (Read 129 times) |

My client just called me to tell me that she can't log in to change her site. She says it's been like this for a few days.
I tried to log in with her details first, and then with my admin details when that didn't work - neither work. All that happens after the log in screen (in Firefox) is that I get a blank screen with the word 'done' in the bottom left of the browser. In IE I get a page telling me that the page cannot be found.
Everything was working fine until a few days ago. I haven't changed anything. My client is only able to change text, and only on small sections of the site, so there's no way that she can have got in to anything that could mess things up.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say that you should have a chat with your web hosting provider and ask them what they have changed.
Generally, once software is installed and working.. it will continue to work until something changes. Since you haven't touched the SnippetMaster files, this means the only other thing that could change would be on the "server side" of things...
Let me know how it goes.

It seems that Netfirms hasn't made any changes, at least none that they will admit to.
Could there be something else causing the problem?

Hello,
No, I can't think of anything else that would cause the problem. It doesn't make sense that something that *was* working would suddenly stop working... unless something has changed.
Sounds like netfirms either doesn't know what they are doing, or they won't admit to not knowing what they are doing.
OK.. the only thing I can suggest is to try re-installing the program. All your database files will be saved. You can use the autoinstaller to reinstall (or just re-upload all the Snippetmaster files, etc..).
Let me know how that goes... Maybe there's a corrupted file or something, and reuploading all the files will fix it.
