tutorial for beginners.

has anyone written a basic tutorial on how to use snippet master for beginners. usually when i install this on a website it is for use by people with fairly basic understanding of computers but sometimes for people who havent had any website design experience or even minimal desktop publishing.

I start my tutorial out with the person's login link, username and password.

2.   After you’ve logged in, you’ll see a pull-down list underneath “Select a file”. Choose the file that you would like to edit and click the “open” button.

3.   A new window will open showing the text of the file that you have chosen. Edit the text as you would in a word processing program. Please note that:
a.   Text formatting is limited to bold, italic, and underline,
b.   To make text into a link, highlight the text you wish to link and click the “Insert Link” icon located in the upper right corner of the text editor window. If you do not highlight text first, the icon will not be visible. When you click on the icon, a new window will open. Type the URL of the site you wish to link to into the “URL” box. If you want the site to open in a new window when a user clicks the link, choose “a new window (_blank)” from the pulld-down list next to “Target : Where to open the link?”. When you’re done, click the “OK” button,
c.   Pasting text from Microsoft Word into the text editor is not recommended.

4.   When you’re done editing your text, click the “Save” button. Open your web page in a new browser window to double check that your changes have been made successfully.

5.   When you’re completely done editing, click the “logout” link in the right hand corner of the screen.

I use CSS tags before and after my snippet tags to ensure that the client can only make limited changes to fonts.
