Topic: Font size in pixels? (Read 1375 times) |

Hello,
I may be starting making websites again, depending on how other projects are turning out. If so, I would like Snippetmaster Pro as my CMS. But I would like the font sizes in pixels, because I use <ul> + css for navigation menus and because nowadays browsers can really zoom in. Is there a way to make Snippetmaster write in pixels rather than in small, medium, large, etc.? (It may seem to do that already, but if you look at the code, you will see that it is not so.)
R.,
Frank

Specify the font-size in css and apply the relevant class to your text.

I am a senior web developer so I know that. But if one uses Snippet to change a font size, it inserts an inline style declaration that writes in relative units.
But never mind -- I came across a site this morning that made it clear to me that relative units are actually to be preferred, for the content text. Even though the text may then grow out of proportion, compared to the images.

Ems are certainly preferred, but a benefit of the Pro vesion is the ability to remove/add facilities from the editor toolbar. Font-size is one which is dangerous when left in for some clients... I had one who also liked to use many different colours, too.

I'm indeed very curious as to how the websites will look after my clients have had their way with them for a year or so.... Might not be a bad idea, to limit the number of editing functions.
