[-] Problem to get linked CSS file used by the Editor
« on: May 09, 2009, 04:01:47 PM »

I have a rather complicated template in use for http://www.hoveniersbedrijf-timmerman.nl/_new_site/ and I was the "mid section" to be edited by the customer.

The mid-section is loaded by a PHP INCLUDE and by itself it is a table of three rows and two columns.
In the 2nd row, first colomn (with rowspan = 2) there is the editable text marked with the snippets tags.
Please view the sourcecode of http://www.hoveniersbedrijf-timmerman.nl/_new_site/welkom_mid.php
This page by itself has been given the linked CSS because you can see how it should look like.

Trying to edit this text I cann't get the linked css included in the editor, which confuses when editing.
This despite it has been defined in the parent and the child page.

Anyone solved this issue??

When choosing a file to edit, Snippetmaster will look on the webpage to see if there are any linked css files or styles.  Anything found will be available in the editor...

However, if you are including your html content from another file, which is the file being edited, then no linked css file or styles will be found.. since they are not in the file being edited.

There is currently no solution for this problem, but the next version of snippetmaster will include the ability to specifically specify any CSS files you wish to be seen by the editor.

So in this situation, you will be able to specifically tell snippetmaster where is the CSS file for your website, and then ANY file being edited will use that CSS file.

Next release with this feature should be ready in a few weeks.  Smile

This sounds good  Very Happy
I look forward to this improvement in the next release!

For the time being I have repeated the link to the CSS-file in alle the snippets. like this:
"<!-- #BeginSnippet name="Home-Dieverbrug-Tekst" users="willy"  -->
<div style="width: 433px">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="css/style.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />
"
It works fine (except in the PREVIEW) , but be aware that you first place the snippet in a DIV-tag !!

Can you look also in the failure for the PREVIEW? Thanks in advance.

Has this update been released?  If so how do I use it?

Thanks!!!
