More style selection

As suggested in an email I sent to you, it would be useful to have some ability to choose what styles an editor can use. here's a little more detail:
This means three things:
1. More clarity in what the style is and does - a style name and brief description.
2. A distinction between paragraph styles and span styles so users know where to use them.
3. The ability to select a sub-selection of styles for each document, so the user doesn't try to apply a style for formatting an image in the header to a block of text in the main content etc.
