Hello,

It does not matter how you get the files on the server.. that's up to you.  The easiest way is to use FTP, but if your hosting provider does not allow this... then you might ask them for advice on how they expect you to move files from your computer to your hosting account.

The problem isn't uploading. I use Cyberduck on mac and WinSCP on PC. I just can't install to my server since it doesn't support FTP. I guess this just won't work for me thanks.

FTP is not required to use Snippetmaster.  As long as you can get the files up to your server, then you can run Snippetmaster.

Why does it ask for FTP info during install?

It only asks for FTP if you want to use the autoinstaller method of installation.

You're welcome to use the "manual" method if desired (or if the autoinstaller does not work for you):

http://www.snippetmaster.com/documentation/  (Click the "Manual Method" link.)

Or if you are unable to do it that way, you can use *any* method you desire to get the snippetmaster files onto your server.

Cool thanks. That makes sense. I thought the FTP was needed when you updated your site with it. Thanks
