Hi
I run a site which has a lot of affiliate links and the editable snippits is a great way to do this.
However when I paste my code into the HTML source and then go back to the editor the editor changes the code and adds & instead of just & and also #39# or something like this.
Is there away around this?
many thanks
Doug

As long as you are copying properly formed xhtml into the html code editor (not the WYSIWYG) editor then the code insertion shuld be OK. It has worked OK on all the sites I have edited to add links.
The only way I can duplicate what you describe is by copying a link from a web page (instead of the page code) and inserting it into the html editor.

Thanks so much for your answer.
Yes i found if I edit whole page and just use the text editor not wysiwyg then no changes occur to code.
So i guess my next question is, is it possible to just have the text editor with snippets like you can with whole page edit?

Hello,

Yes, this is possible. You can do this by specifying the "wysiwyg=no" attribute in the Snippet Tag. Here is the documentation:
http://www.snippetmaster.com/documentation/snippet-tag-attributes.html
If you open a file that includes a Snippet Tag with this attribute, then the HTML in the Snippet will be opened in a plain textbox for editing. (No wysiwyg editor.)

The space characters should not be removed unless they are non-xhtml compliant or something. Can you give me an example of the "before and after" so I can understand exactly what is happening?
