I received the following error message from my SnippetMaster demo this morning:
Quote
"Sorry, but the language you specified (<b>/home/sites/[mydomain].co.uk/public_html/page-editor-new-demo/languages/.php</b>) does not exist or the file for this language is invalid or corrupted.
The program has been halted until this problem is fixed. Please provide a valid language file called <b>.php</b>."
Note: [mydomain] wasn't in the message, I've put that in in place of my domain.
I checked and it's working perfectly OK, any idea why I got this message?
I haven't been able to fix it yet.. but that's mostly because I just haven't had time and it's not a huge priority. If the error messages are driving you crazy, you can disable the error reporting in the admin area...
(BTW - I think I've narrowed down the cause to how the login form is submitted. The msg seems to be generated when the form is submitted without a valid "language" element.. which is common when it's visited by a search engine spider. But ya.. it should never happen in normal usage, because if someone is actually logging in, then they'll always have the language field correctly specified since it's a selection box.)
A customer of mine got the same error whenever she loaded up the page http://kimskennel.com/editor/. But when I am on the laptop right next to her I can log in fine. I believe this was caused because she went and clicked log out and received the error. When she closed the browser I noticed that a pop up window was still open from the editor. So maybe the error was caused when you log out of the editor while a pop up window was still open. (like uploading an image pop up).
I couldn't get it to work at all. Then I downloaded Firefox on the computer and tried with that and ended up with the same error. I deleted the browsing history in Firefox then was able to get it working again. When Firefox installed it imported everything from Internet Explorer so that is probably why it did not work with a fresh install of Firefox.
