I use SnippetMaster Lite to edit part of my web pages. It worked fine with Windows XP but my new PC has Windows Vista & Explorer 8 and I can sign in but cannot see my text to edit it. Can anyone help please.

I have tested with IE 8 and Vista (and also beta version of Windows 7) with no problem.
Can you describe the error a bit more? Are you able to edit the snippetmaster demo/example files in the /snippetmaster folder?
Thanks!

Hi, I log on to Snippetmaster Lite and cannot see the text to edit it. I get a blank screen with a small red cross at the top left corner - as though something is blocking the text. I've tried turning off the pop up blocker and minimising the internet security settings but nothing works. I can see and edit the text if I log on with my old PC which has windows XP - so its clearly something on this new PC that is causing the problem.
Note: I do not have Snippetmaster on my PC - I get to the log on page via an extension of my web address. Snippetmaster and this editing facility on my web page has been arranged by the person who manages my web page. It worked fine until I cahnged PC.
Hope you can suggest something ?

Are you able to log into the demo on my website and "edit" the sample pages ok?
http://www.snippetmaster.com/demo
Let me know.
Maybe also try disabling any firewall or proxy software or virus scanner software on your computer?
The only thing I can suggest otherwise, is to try using firefox or a different browser. There must be something on our computer that is causing the editor javascript to not load properly...

Hi, Yes I can log into your demo and edit the sample pages.
I've tried disabling virus protection, firewall & internet settings but still no joy. I've even tried downloading and using FireFox but still cannot see the text.
I get the feeling I'm missing something simple the red 'x' at the top of the text box is similar to the one you get on e-mails which bar images being shown - but unlike mail I can see no means of allowing the text to be shown ???

Hello,
OK, if the demo on my website works for you with no problem... but it does not work for your website, then the only thing I can think is that the software isn't installed correctly, or there is something on your computer which is blocking only your site.
the only suggestion I can make is to disable/uninstall any virus scanner, firewall, proxy, spyware software on your computer and see if that helps. Other then that.. it might be some setting in IE that needs to be adjusted, but I have no idea which one...

Hello again, Problem solved. The person who manages my web site has had to move it to a new server as the old server didn't support the latest SnippetMaster software. After upgrading to the new SnippetMaster version everything works Ok. See his comments below, Thanks for all your help. Hope this may help anyone else using Vista.
" To be honest, I have no idea what problem vista created, just understood that sometimes upgrading to latest versions cancels any issues, the new version uses something called ironcube (I think) and thats not available on my older server but is on the new one. "
