Mass Emailing Functionality

Hello.

I was wondering if something like Snippet Master is capable of doing a mass email to ppl. We're moving towards CMSes at work (to make my life easier, since I'm the developer for the company,  ).

One client wishes to have some sort of list of subscribers to have email newsletters to be sent to them on a periodic basis (one a month, semi-annually, etc etc). This functionality, of course, would lead to having an unsubscribe function as well.

Is this possible with Snippet?

Sorry, this is not possible.  Snippetmaster is a website editing tool only. 

However, since I happen to own a website hosting company, I am very familiar with all the different tools "out there" to manage mailing lists and subscribers.

The one I recommend is "dadamail", which is found here: http://mojo.skazat.com

It is excellent software, and allows you to have online mailing lists that you can send out newsletters, allow customers to subscribe/unsubscribe automatically, etc.  Excellent stuff.

Oh okay, not a problem.

We can always adjust our way of thinking and use this particular CMS setup for non-mass email sending clients.

Sounds good.  I think it will be difficult to find a good CMS that also includes a good mass mailing system.  Usually software developers are really good at one thing, and when they try to create software that does too much (two or more major functions).. you typically end up with software that does all of them poorly.
