SnippetMaster version 2.2.3 is now available.
This release fixes a recently discovered security exploit that allows
SOME poorly secured web servers to be accessed through the software.
I recommend all SnippetMaster users upgrade to this latest version immediately.
Here are the instructions to upgrade:
1. Go to:
http://www.snippetmaster.com/download/
2. Follow the instructions to download and install the latest version using your preferred method. The Auto-Installer is fast, easy, and should work for most people. (If you see any errors or problems with the Auto-Installer, then you should use either the manual installation method or request a free installation/upgrade.)
Basically, to upgrade, you just need to upload all the files from the latest version over top of the SnippetMaster files you have now. (Don't worry, your database and program settings will not be lost.)
3. After the new version files have been uploaded, go to your normal SnippetMaster login page, and you will be prompted to start the upgrade process. You must enter a SnippetMaster admin username/password to continue. ** NOTE: This upgrade will NOT change any of your database information or cause your program settings to be changed.
4. After the upgrade process is completed, login to SnippetMaster and make sure everything is working as expected. If you discover any problems, have any concerns, need help, or just want to ask a question.. please visit this page to get the fastest assistance:
