I inhereted a site that is using this tool to allow users to update content. Currently, when one of my users tries to access the login page they get the error stated in the subject. I wasn't able to locate anything in the documentation about a local key. I was able to log in on my personal machine several times; however, now I'm getting the error as well.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm.. this error occurs when there is no internet connection available to verify the license key... and the "local" license key is not valid.
(The local license key is a backup key that is used when the internet isn't working... useful for temporary connection problems, etc...)
Can you send me an email to "henri @ www.snippetmaster.com" with the URL of your installation and I'll take a look?
Thanks.

Just had this happen to all of our snippetmaster installations today.
Why would the local key be invalid? Is there a way to check it?
Host was up, sites were working, but SM Pro was not...definitely not on our side of things.
Henri, can you help?
Thanks

We fixed this by rolling back from PHP 5 to PHP 4. Not sure why this was an issue, but since I don't have any other apps using PHP at the moment it wasn't a big deal.
