Skips Login

I have everything set up and working (nearly).
My problem is that when i go to the login page it skips log in and goes straight to the editing section and when I log out I don't need to type in password, just hit login and off I go to the edit section again.

I have checked the congig file and Auth is set to 1,

your help would be appreciated

Now it still goes directly to the index.php without logging in first, but now when I log out i cannot get back in without typing in username or password.

Can anyone help??

Sounds like your login and password are still in the browser cache..  try closing the browser and opening again..  if that's the problem, it's not really a problem as it's only on your computer. If it persists to other computers, then that's a problem..

I deleted the cookies and all is working well.
