I am using XP home, IE 6.0 and snippetmaster and I am having trouble:

Could the problem be that i am using a server and a firewall on that server?

Ok that is not the problem i checked on another computer and it works GREATTTTTTTTT on that one.... still i am on the point of a break down as i can not work the program on my own computer.
I can not show the people for whom i'm building the site for how great it works on my own computer Sad  and i don't know how to solve it! I deleted java and reinstalled it but no effect...  Crying or Very sad  Crying or Very sad  Crying or Very sad  Crying or Very sad  Crying or Very sad


If there is anyone who knows what to do ...Shocked

Are you running zonealarm or any other software firewall on the computer having trouble?

From the problem you have described, it sounds like either some javascript is being filtered by a proxy/firewall, or your Internet Explorer software is not correct.

Try re-installing IE and see if that helps.

THIS CAN'T BE!!! It's f*cked up again. I uploaded a color change in the login and the main html and what do you think happend? The same as before i formatted the computer and installed XP pro!!!! I put back the original and it is still not working

WHAT THE F IS WRONG it cost me a whole day and now i am back to nothing!

It happend when i uploaded a html!!!!! What can go wrong with the connection between snippet master and my computer (The prgram still works on other computers) when i upload??

I have no idea what is wrong for you.  What exactly are you trying to do?

You should be able to simply add the snippet tags to your html file(s) and then upload them (in ascii mode) and they will be editable in snippetmaster.

There is nothing that can go wrong between your computer and snippetmaster, other then if you have a firewall/proxy blocking some of the code or if your internet explorer installation is not correct.

I am not a total newbie... Laughing It worked .... and i must say it worked great .... but when i uploaded a color change in the login.html and the main.html the same thing happened as before! It works on the other computers but not with my computer. It worked on my computer but right after i uploaded it went wrong .... so is it my ftp program with its chmods maybe or whatever?? i'm trying now for 25 hours in 2 days and i am back to where i was ...

Make sure your ftp program is uploading the files in ASCII format.

If you send me your ftp information I will re-isntall the application for you.

Okay, it's still not working on my computer. It has nothing to do with the ftp. Because it deleted the whole site and uploaded it from another computer. On the other computer it works on my computer it still shows a blanco page with a cross on the top left in the text area when i try to acces a snippet tag page. Is there anything, anything at all that conflicts with snippet master? Like sp1 for xp or something?

Try reinstalling Internet Explorer and see if that fixes the problem.  Sometimes IE doesn't have all the necessary components installed.

Isn't it really hard to re-install exploreer because XP runs on it??

reinstalling INternet Explorer should be easy.

Just go to http://microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/critical/ie6sp1/default.asp

and then select your language (in the right-hand side).
