[-] Installing to subdomain.
« on: March 14, 2009, 02:30:17 PM »

Alright I have been able to successfully install SnippetMaster at www.exampledomain.com/snippetmaster/.  That is all good.  The issue is that if I try to install it at test.example.com/snippetmaster/ I get an ioncube error.  I have made sure that all of the files are there and they are.  The error that I get is that the Ioncube Loader is not installed.  Any ideas?

Is should not make any difference what subdomain you install SnippetMaster into, as long as the web hosting is correctly set up for it.

It sounds like maybe this is a configuration problem or something... if you'd like for me to take a look, you can request a free installation here:

http://www.snippetmaster.com/download/index.php#free_install

Or you can ask your web hosting provider to take a look at the "ioncube assistant" page that should be linked in the ioncube error page...  they should be able to figure it out for you in a few seconds.  Smile

Let me know.

I know that the sub domain is setup properly.  I have the sub domain setup using php5. Is that the problem?  Any ideas?

Well I figured out the issue.  For some reason the ioncube doesn't work with php5 as soon as I changed it to php4 it worked just fine.  I am not sure if it's SnippetMaster or Ioncube. Any input from anybody?

I don't think it's a SnippetMaster issue, as I have lots of customers running with PHP 5.  (The snippetmaster demo is on PHP 5, for example.)

The problem is most likely that your web hosting provider does not have ioncube working with PHP 5 properly.  This is sometihng they should be able ot easily fix in a few seconds, though.  Smile
