There are "save" and "preview" options in the editor, but no "quit" or "cancel" options; so essential after a user mucks up the edit and needs to start again.
I know I can bomb out by logging off or choosing another page, but I would have expected a proper option to cancel the whole edit.
Am I missing something here?
Thanks

You can "reload" the current page by simply selecting the file to be edited and then click the go button. (In other words, just reselect the file to edit, and it will reload the page.)
I hope that makes sense... let me know.

Hi there
Yes, that works and I have worked out that technique before. Thanks.
However, it's not obvious to an occasional end user, and comes across as a 'trick' that one has to discover by trial and error. I think that a clear option would be much better.
If you can, I would suggest introducing a button marked 'cancel' or 'cancel edit' so that an end user doesn't have to guess.
Thanks for getting back to me and thanks for your excellent software!

Hi Howard,
OK, I will add this. I think it's a good idea. When the user clicks the cancel button, where should they go?

Hmmm. Good question. I think that it would be used mainly when someone has made a mess during their edit session and needed to start again. So I guess the editor would simply restore the file to how it was at the start of the session, staying on the same page. Maybe a message 'file restored' would help the user know that they could start afresh if they wanted to.
Cheers

I wonder if instead of calling it "cancel" it would be better to use something like "restart" or "reload file" or something like that.
I'll have to think about the best way to do this, but if anyone else has a suggestion please let me know.
Thanks!
