Problem running the Auto-Installer (path-related)

I downloaded the free lite version and got as far as running the Auto-Installer through the web browser:
http://www.yourdomain.com/snippetmaster/autoinstaller.php

this is the error message:

Verifying selected program folder...
Unable to change into the program folder you selected
A problem was found. I will now clean up anything done so far...
The Auto-Installer did not work.
(Please review the error(s) above. Maybe it's a problem you can fix?)

the path I used was like this:

/home/username/public_html/snippetmaster/

Try it without the slash and see if that works.

I tried removing the slash and it doesn't work, I've tried several paths without success.

Can I confirm that the Autoinstaller.php file needs to be uploaded to "snippetmaster" folder in the "public_html" folder?

Yes, that is correct.  (Although you can call the folder anything you'd like.)

It's a bit odd, since the errror that is being displayed (unable to change into the folder) indicates that the autoinstaller does not have sufficient "read permissions" to change into the folder.  this might be a configuration issue with your web hosting account?

Either way, I can diagnose the problem if you request a free installation and let me know your ftp info.
