[-] Upgrading to Pro version and other questions
« on: February 15, 2008, 06:42:16 PM »

Hello Henri

I have installed a Lite version of Snippetmaster at a level ABOVE my domains.  (I am hosting several domains).   Now I would like to purchase a PRO version for one of my clients.   There may be advantages in keeping the Lite version for testing purposes and installing a PRO version into a different directory.   How do I go about this?

Question 2 - While testing I noticed that the Link button (Insert/edit link) cannot be used to insert a new link (only to edit an existing one).  I am using Firefox and SnippetMaster Lite.   Will this be enabled in the PRO version, or is this a limitation we have to work around?

Thanks

Hello,

To install into a different folder, you would just need to upload all the snippetmaster program files into the desired folders.  (Or use the Auto-Installer...)

There is no problem to have multiple instances of Snippetmaster running in different folders on the same site.

The link button should be able to insert new links.  That sounds like maybe some kind of installation issue or configuration problem.  Does this feature work when you use the demo at http://www.snippetmaster.com/demo/

What errors do you get when you click the link button in the toolbar to create a new link?

Hello

Thank you,  it is good to know that I can install and run multiple instances of Snippetmaster in different folders on my server.

You are correct, the link button works - I did not know how to activate it.  You have to first select some text, then the insert link button becomes active.  Until you select some text - it is not enough to position the cursor - the link buttons are greyed out and cannot be used.

Just remember that you can have multiple for the same domain but you should have a new licence for any further separate domains - i.e Other Domain Accounts, Add-on Domains and Sub-domains

How would you create a link without selecting something to be the link?  Sorry just thought it was an odd comment Razz

Cheers
