[-] License problem
« on: January 17, 2007, 08:15:21 AM »

Hello, Henri.

I had the following error message when trying to access my client's SnippetMaster today:

Quote
Your Local "Offline" License Key Is Invalid

The program has been halted because it is not possible to validate your license.

The program uses a Local "Offline" License Key to validate your license when the main licensing servers are unreachable. (ie: When you do not have an internet connection.)

You are receiving this error because of the following reasons:

The program was unable to contact the licensing servers to validate your license.
Your Local "Offline" License Key is invalid.
If this problem continues, please contact support for assistance.

It turned out that your site was down at that time, so the license couldn't be retrieved. How come the "Offline" License Key was invalid?
How can this be prevented from happening again? I mean, clients not being able to access their editor because your site is down?

Tks for your attention.

The offline system should have kicked in when a connection to the license server isn't possible.  The offline license is automatically regenerated every time a successful connection is made, so something must have gone screwy there..

If you want to send me an email with your installation details I can take a look.

Henri I am having this same problem. I did not see what was done to resolve this issue. I do know that there was some upgrades done to the server as well as a reimage to the drive. Do not know if this info would help in resolving this.

Hi David,

Can you let me know if you are using the ioncube or zend version, and I'll give you the special offline license files that are needed?  (This is included in the next release, but I have to do it manually for now.)

Send an email with a link to this thread, and your snippetmaster URL to henr i@ www.snippetmaster.com

Thanks!

Henri I have sent you the requested information to your email twice now. Have you not received it?
