[-] Installation failing at "Doing the files..."
« on: November 23, 2006, 11:24:42 AM »

Hello,

I tried to install SnippetMaster 5 times using the various methods, I've also read through the forum and haven't been able to find an answer to this specific issue. I love the demo and the idea of your software, I hope we can get it working...

Here is the page as it looks when it fails, I have selected the Zend version because Ioncube is Not installed (it correctly detected when set to automatic) I also replaced my true url with xxxxxxxxx. I tried the PASV mode but got the exact same result.

URL: baseurl/snippet/autoinstaller.php'
---------------------
Verifying selected program folder...
Skipping Ioncube/Zend tests -- you specifically selected to use the Zend version.
Setting up the FTP connection...
Creating temporary work folder...
Could not change permissions for temp folder... trying a different method....It worked!
Downloading the latest SnippetMaster file: snippetmaster2.2.2-zend.zip ...(please wait)
File is downloaded. Now saving it...
Unzipping the files and FTPing them into your /public_html/snippet program folder.
      Doing the folders...
      Doing the files...(please wait)

Warning: ftp_put() [function.ftp-put]: "snippet-db" : The directory was successfully created in /home/xxxxxxxxx/public_html/snippet/autoinstaller.php on line 147
Error transfering the admin.php file.

Note: If the error above is something like Warning: ftp_put(): PORT command successful in ... on line 1', then try restarting the Auto-Installer and CHECKING the 'Use PASV Mode?' option.

You should also make sure there is enough disk space remaining.

A problem was found. I will now clean up anything done so far...

Warning: ftp_rmdir() [function.ftp-rmdir]: PORT command successful in /home/metalcow/public_html/snippet/autoinstaller.php on line 2

The Auto-Installer did not work.
(Please review the error(s) above. Maybe it's a problem you can fix?)

------------------

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Gary

I attempted to manipulate a couple of files by hand but haven't tried the full manual install. Apparently this isn't something a simple chmod or rename can take care of...

I am out for the holidays in an hour or so but I'll try it next Tuesday when I get back and let you know how it goes...

Regards and Happy Holidays,

Gary

Sounds good.  Smile

Don't forget that I offer a free install service, if you get really stuck.
