If you try copying directly from Word into SnippetMaster it will give you all kinds of problems. Try it and you'll see.
The "solution" is to first copy from Word into Notepad (or any other plain text editor), and then copy from Notepad to SnippetMaster.
So you are using Notepad (or whatever plain text editor you prefer) to "clean" the text from MS Word.
This is because when you copy stuff from Word, it also copies all the crazy formatting information. So when you paste it directly into Snippetmaster, the editor tries to "figure out" what to do with all that formatting information and it gets screwed up.

Thanks for the info and yes I identified this issue.
However when you have clients that like to use the WYSIWYG editor like they use Word or similar apps, then you really want it to be able to copy it from an application like Word to the editor so it keeps formatting etc - that is why people do copy from Word to the editor.
Hopefully in future versions this will be made to enable copying from most common apps and keep formatting in tact.
Cheers

Actually I did find a 'quasi' solutions to the idea of pasting from MS Word to Snippetmaster and keeping the textual formatting.
1. Copy the content from MS Word
2. Open up Wordpad.exe and past the content in there
3. Re-select and copy everything in Wordpad
4. Paste it into Snippetmaster.
Don't ask me why, but pasting from Wordpad provides Snippetmaster with valid HTML 4.0 markup, not the crappy stuff from Word. It isn't 100%... sometimes you have to change a few font sizes, but it sure beats typing everything back in.

Where can I get WordPad?
Wordpad should be "pre-installed" on your MS Windows (XP / 2000) computer.
START --> Accessories --> WordPad

perhaps there could be a simple reminder on the snippet editing window to the effect of this that reminds people that for best results they copy into wordpad, and a note that explains that if they stuff it all up then they can go to code view and delete everything?
