I have searched for how to delete uploaded files and yet even as Admin some files have the red x and others don't.
I even checked permissions and they are both the same. What other factors could be influencing this behavior?

The only factor that determines if the red "x" to delete a file is displayed, is if there is sufficient permissions for that file to be deleted.
It really depends on how your web server is configured. In some cases, permission of 777 are needed for the files, and in other cases (where PHP runs as "CGI" mode), then no special permissions are needed.
In all cases, you can also turn on/off this feature on a user-by-user basis within SnippetMaster.
Cheers!

Thanks for the response.
Since it looks like 777 is needed on my server, is there a place I can change the default
permissions placed by SnippetMaster after an upload?

Hello,
Not at the moment, but this is a good idea for a new feature.
