[-] Getting a blank page
« on: April 05, 2006, 07:47:40 AM »

I just installed Snippetmaster Pro and get a blank page when I try to log in. I checked the config file and everything looks correct. I have installed it on other sites and did not have this problem. When I view source I get:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML><HEAD>
<META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"></HEAD>
<BODY></BODY></HTML>

What did I do wrong?

I see in other posts a mantion of an ioncube folder, I purchased snippetmaster pro and got no such folder. I get a blank page when I try to log into snippetmaster. Where is my ioncube folder? What should I have received in the zip file?

I just checked and the globals are on so that is not the problem. Please help, my client is getting impatient that this does not work.

"Ioncube" relates to the new version, which is in the late stages of beta development. See http://www.snippetmaster.com/forums/index.php/topic,705.0.html

If it is a new site you could install the latest beta? It really does work well and has excellent new features.

I have resolved the blank page issue, I reinstalled the password, it looked correct before but must have been incorrect because now it works, however I have a different problem. When I look at a page, I do not see the images, when I click on the photo icon, I see the link as http:///images/art_01_43.jpg rather than the local link images/art_01_43.jpg. I am able to install the images by using the image insert icon and it gives them an absolute pate but initially I do not see them, how can I correct this?

Sorry to be late to this problem.. I forgot to subscribe to the forum to get notified of new posts.  Smile

The "broken image" problem in the "old" version of snippetmaster is addressed:

http://www.snippetmaster.com/forums/index.php/topic,848.0.html

The new version (in beta testing) correctly resolves all links to images, etc.. no problem.

Let me know if you're still having trouble with install/blank pages of the "old" version and I'll try to help.  The new version is now in beta testing however, and is very stable.. perhaps it would be something you'd like to try out?

Actually I resolved that problem by making all image links absolute. However I have found a new problem. I have three pages with forms. All work OK except the one with a text area box. This seems to throw everything off. The submit button appears outside of the WYSIWYG editor and when viewing in preview mode I get runtime errors when mousing over the javascript rollovers. What will cure this. If the beta version will solve this I would like to try it, I have already subscribed to the beta mailing list.

I think this should work with the new editor that is in the new version of snippetmaster...  there's only one way to find out.  Smile

Here's a link to the latest release announcement I JUST made to the beta list:
