[-] Forum bug?
« on: September 20, 2011, 03:56:47 PM »

I will now be disabling emails for this forum but I wanted to know if you were aware...

I keep receiving emails about people replying to topics I've started but when I come here, there are no new replies or any replies at all. It is quite odd. I'm a little curious as to why that is happening though. lol

Hello,

Unfortunately, it's a problem with the spam "solution" I am using for the forums here.  The spammer can still register and post their spam.. (which creates the notificatoin email you receive), but then the spam "solution" automatically hides the post if it is marked as spam, so I can review/delete it later.

It's not a good system, but it is the best I can find, otherwise there is a lot of spam being posted here...  Sad

If anyone has any recommendation for a good spam solution for SMF (simple machines forums), please let me know!
