New! And I need help!

Hey,

I am new here and was looking for something to let a pastor at a local church add his own news. I found this and it sounds great but I have no idea how to use php and I am greatly confused on how to set this up. Could someone please help me set it up. If it is to hard to explian email me and I can give you the ftp details for it. But in the meantime:

First, you need to make sure your web host allows you to run PHP.

Do this:

1) Make a new text file and call it "phpinfo.php".
2) Add the following PHP code (text) to the text file:

<?php phpinfo&#40;&#41;; ?>

3) Save the file, and upload it to your website.
4) Now call the file using your browser (ie: http://www.fwcharrodsburg.com/phpinfo.php)

You should see a listing of PHP variables and information about your system.. if so, then you can use PHP.  If not, then you are not able to run PHP scripts and you should ask your host to enable this or move to a different host (www.etwebhosting).

Excellent.  OK.. if you send me your FTP info in a private message I'll take a crack at installing it for you.

What URL do you want to use to access the program?  Also, let me know what username/password you want to use.

And also tell me about any folders you want to be able to upload files to.  (ie: for images, etc..)
