image uploads don't match the path created by editing

I have created a regular user, set the path for uploads for 2 folders, images and pdf:
domain.com/snippetmaster/images, and domain.com/snippetmaster/pdf and using the upload feature, they are put in the correct directories.

However, when the user tries to either link to a PDF or place an uploaded image, the path that is created is:
domain.com/images or domain.com/pdf

What do I need to change to sync the 2 locations?
