I did my install, and after logging in as "admin" the "Current folder" is " http://emmanuelweston.org." However, the files that show up as selectable are in "emmanuelweston.org/snippetMaster/Install" and the "Select a different folder" drop down only shows "dbtemplate" (the directory under "install." How do I get to files in my sites root directory?

Hello,
You need to make sure the "Starting Folder" and "Starting URL" are correct for your users.
1. Login as admin user.
2. Click the "admin" link and then select the "users" tab.
3. Now edit the admin user, and make sure starting folder and start url are corret.
4. Repeat step 3 for each user you have created.
Cheers!

The URL was correct and I changed the folder to: \\frigga\home\users\web\b2193\ph.d30052761
but it tells me the "folder does not exist"
When I tried: \\frigga\home\users\web\b2193\ph.d30052761\snippetMaster
it works but I cannot get up one level to where I want to be.
Is this something to work out with my web hosting provider?

Yes, I think it might be something your host needs to fix for you. If they can't (or won't) fix it.. let me know and I can help you create a diagnostic test file so you can give that to your hosting provider to 'show' them the problem.
Thanks!

Just so I understand what is happening: "\\frigga\home\users\web\b2193\ph.d30052761" is the actual path on the web server to my files which I see as "\" (how did you manage to get that path name??). For some reason when I use that path name it won't map to my account root directory directly. Could it be a rights issue?
A workaround would be to create a subdirectory and move default.html and all the other pages, images, etc to that directory. Then I would have to map my URL name to that directory somehow, not to the root directory. SnippetMaster would seem happy with that solution. Thanks for any thoughts you have!

I think the simplest thing to do is ask your web hosting provider why they are not allowing PHP software (snippetmaster) to 'see' the folder path to your website root.
What I recommend is first making sure that the folder path you are trying to specify is actually correct. If you run the yourdomain.com/snippetmaster/includes/diag/phpinfo.php file then at the very bottom you should see something like $_SERVER[document_root] and this will have the full file path to your website "root" folder.
That is the file path you should specify as the "Starting Folder" for your users.
If that doesn't work.. then your hosting provider needs to explain why PHP software is not able to see that path. I can provide a test file that will help them see the problem so they can easily diagnose and fix it.
Cheers!

I could not get a straight answer from my hosting provider, so I created a subdirectory called "\hot", moved the html, css files, etc into it and used their "Domain Pointing Manager" to point the URL to that directory. The site works fine. But Snippetmaster is lost--keeps trying to go to directories like " www.emmanuelweston.org/hot/snippetmaster/admin.php" You need the "/hot" when using a pathname but when using the site URL, the domain pointing manager maps " www.emmanuelweston.org" automatically to the /hot subdirectory." When I redo the install, "Program URL" (in Program Details) shows up as: " http://www.emmanuelweston.org/hot/snippetmaster" and I have edited out the "/hot" Snippetmaster worked fine on a completely different site/different web hosting provider where the site ran in a subdirectory, so I am at my wit's end.
