« on: December 27, 2009, 09:23:39 AM »

I see that there were postings on this topic in Agust 2006 and September 2007, at which time it was stated that it was not possible at that time, but that the facility would be added in the next release. To quote: "This is not possible with the current version.  The ability to use https is something I will be adding soon."

Is there any news on the progress of this item, please?  Alternatively, if it has already been implemented, can you point me to some instruction on how to set it up?

Running a facility with the power of Snippetmaster over an unsecured connection is something that is starting to give me sleepless nights!

Hello,

This feature was never implemented because there was no real demand for it.  I will add your vote to the list of people who want this ability.  If anyone else wants it.. please add your support/request here.

Thanks!

Hi,

I am amazed that this feature is not top of everyone's requirements. After all, if you are logging in as admin, you are doing so over an unencrypted link so the username and password is sent in cleartext, and anyone intercepting the network traffic will effectively have full control over the whole of the site.

Let's hope that enough users read this thread and add their voices to the requirement so that it can move up the pecking order.
