[-] Would this work?
« on: July 27, 2006, 05:32:40 AM »

Hi,
I'm trying to find a solution for a client and wondered if  SnippetMaster would work for this situation.

The client plans to use an affiliate system and give affiliates their own sites ( 2 pages - homepage and contact page ) to fill with their own info. These sites would be part of his site, in a subdirectory - like: http://www.my-clients-site.com/affiliates-site He then wants to give the affiliate the ability to edit the 2 pages. Would one license of SnippetMaster in his root work to allow each affiliate access ONLY to their pages for editing? Can he set up each affiliate as a 'user' with a unique password to edit ONLY their pages and not see any other affiliate's pages or his?

Thanks

Yes, this would work well.

Basically, your client would simply need to do something like this:

1) Create a new user for each affiliate.
2) Specify the "starting folder" and "starting url" for each affiliate to be their own private subdirectory/folder.
3) Create a list group, and specify only the affiliates folder as the only "allowed" folder.  (so anything else will not be displayed.)

Here's a link to get a trial license for your client to try it out:

http://www.snippetmaster.com/orders/more_information.php?product_id=6

(This is a trial of the PRO version, so they can create unlimited users, etc... since the free LITE version is limited to only one user of each type, etc..)
